Circuit Slapper: A game for motor learning

This video demonstrates the use of simple materials (sponge, plastic rod, and aluminum tape) and a circuit board to create a circuit slapper. The child maintains a grip with a pronated wrist while modulating timing and speed to jump in the game. Hitting the two strips of aluminum tape on the table completes the circuit and the player in the game jumps. This game could be adjusted to meet other goals by changing the size of the rod for gripping, the weight of the object held, another game could require more visual scanning or have more than one button to coordinate movement, lastly, the location of the two strips of aluminum tape could move from the table to a wall for external rotation or to the side of neglect.
